Just as if you came to a church service And you asked your brothers and sisters Who are praying if you ask them to pray For you for something going on then they Joyfully would and there's power in that Prayer and so recognizing this we need To take seriously the words of Jesus Because he begs to differ from the Gentleman here asking your brothers and Sisters and the faith to pray for you is Not the same as asking the dead to pray For you first Timothy chapter 2 verse 1 Says therefore I exhort first of all That supplications prayers intercessions And giving of thanks be made for all men Prayers should be made on behalf of all The living the Bible endorses that but There are no verses that encourage Asking the dead to intercede for you Because that's spiritism which is Condemned by God's word
